When to avoid Serostim
If you have any of the following illnesses or symptoms, do not take Serostim.
. Recovering from surgery and any illnesses that appear because of a surgery
. Breathing problems

. If you have cancer, had it in the past or you are currently on cancer medication and chemotherapy.

. Taking other prescription or over the counter medication, supplements, and vitamins
. If you have high blood sugar levels, have diabetes or on diabetes medication. Also if you at risk of developing diabetes, you should avoid Serostim.
If you have the above illnesses or taking any form of medication for them, you should be open enough with your doctor before he administers the Serostim vial. It is also important to note that as much as effective the vial is it also comes with some side effects.
Side effects of Serostim
If you notice any of the following side effects, inform your doctor straight away.
. Nausea leading to bouts of vomiting
. Swellings on the hands, around the eyes and feet
. Pain and stiffness of the muscles, joints and bone
. Numbness, pain and tingling on the wrist, fingers and thumb
. Skin sensations that seem unusual
. High blood sugar
. Frequent headaches
. Allergic reactions
. Abdominal pain and tenderness
. Blurred vision
. Breast enlargement especially in men
. Trouble concentrating
. Back pains
. Water retention
Though these are not the only symptoms of taking Serostim, you should notify your doctor when you feel anything unusual after using the vial. It is also important to note that not everyone gets the above symptoms so they should not scare you at all.
